🧠 Introduction: When the World Scrolls, the Mind Sleeps

In today’s digital world, our minds are constantly surrounded by likes, shares, reels, and notifications.
📱 Social media, once meant to connect people, is now controlling their attention and emotions.

We wake up checking our phones, and we go to sleep scrolling through endless content.
Somewhere in this process, a silent tragedy is happening —
👉 We are losing our ability to think deeply.

⚡ The Constant Bombardment of Content

Every second, millions of posts appear on our screens — opinions, ads, memes, trends, and challenges.
We think we’re consuming knowledge, but what we’re really doing is consuming noise.

“Too much information creates less understanding.”

When the mind receives an overdose of random inputs, it forgets how to pause, reflect, and reason.
The habit of “thinking before reacting” is slowly vanishing.

💭 My Experience: When Thinking Turned into Scrolling

When I was in school and college, when we had discussions on many topics among our friends, we would break into two groups, but everyone would think, talk, argue, but there was a fun in it.

Now, when any topic comes up, the screen opens, immediately downloads and shares start. Everyone acts as if they don't want to think. The original topic gets sidetracked and thoughts go in the wrong direction.

For example – I wanted to make Biryani. So, if I search for recipes on social media in my mobile, it rained Biryani recipes from all over the world, in addition to that, cookbooks, famous chefs, various countries, provinces, according to many methods, its attractive pile of videos, in addition to that, advertisements, photos, images, advertisements for biryani literature as an addition to that, in addition to that, I also saw discussions about whether the Biryani of this province is good or that province.

And in every case there is a top 10, top 5. Everyone has different advice. Seeing all this, I got confused, my head started spinning and I didn't want to make Biryani. Feeling frustrated and disappointed, I turned off my mobile.

I thought about this incident and remembered the Marathi proverb "अती तिथे माती" means "too much of anything is bad" or "excess leads to failure"  I think that when too much information about any action comes to us at once, that action is not completed or negativity is created about that action. Because we don't get a chance to think. And the power of thought weakens.

Then I took a solution to it. First I put my mobile away. I got up straight and sat outside on the ground. And I thought that if I wanted to make Biryani, why did I go to social media? If I had asked my mother such a simple thing, she would have told me the recipe in two minutes and also helped me. Remembering this, I smiled and my heart became happy again.

We see many boys and girls around us who are constantly talking on their mobile phones and scrolling around without realizing it. It has become rare to see a boy or girl without a mobile phone in their hands.

When we look at our mobile phones, our mind is very impatient to know something new, to see and receive news, clips, calls, replies to our messages, likes, and emails. But we have seen many people who are disappointed when nothing is seen on the screen.

When we walk on railway tracks with earphones in our ears, or ride two-four wheelers, it is clear that we have mortgaged our thinking power.

There is no other misfortune like the fact that some mothers recently put cartoon shows on their mobile phones in front of their babies to keep them quiet.

After all this experience, I decided that I would use my mobile phone only for important work. I did not want to waste time on social media. I benefited a lot from keeping my mobile away. I started feeling very enthusiastic, happy, and positive.

People may not agree with my ideas today, but I am sure they will in the future.

💔 The Emotional Impact: Why We Feel Empty

Social media was supposed to make us happier. But it often makes us anxious, lonely, and unsatisfied.

Seeing perfect lives online creates a fake benchmark.
Everyone looks happy, rich, and successful — so you start feeling you’re not enough.

What we see is just a filtered highlight reel, not life itself.

---

🕯️ Losing the Art of Deep Thinking

Thinking is not just about reacting; it’s about reflecting.
But today, silence feels uncomfortable, and distraction feels normal.

“We used to think to express.
Now we express without thinking.”

Books, conversations, and nature once helped us develop thoughts.
Now, algorithms decide what we see, what we feel, and sometimes — what we believe.

When critical thinking dies,

  • Manipulation becomes easier.

  • Emotional reactions replace logic.

  • Creativity turns into imitation.

🌱 Reclaiming Our Mental Space

All hope is not lost.
We can regain our inner clarity with a few mindful steps.

🌄 1. Practice Digital Minimalism

Set time limits. Unfollow pages that drain your energy.
Ask yourself — Is this helping me grow or just keeping me busy?

📚 2. Read More, Scroll Less

Books give you depth, while feeds give you distraction.
Even 10 minutes of mindful reading daily can reconnect you with your thinking ability.

🧘‍♂️ 3. Observe Silence

Spend time with nature or in quiet reflection.
Great ideas are born in silence, not in chaos.

✍️ 4. Write Your Thoughts

Writing is thinking made visible.
Keep a small journal. Write what you feel instead of posting it immediately.

---

💬 Personal Reflection

I realized through my own experience that the more we depend on screens, the less we depend on our minds.
The world outside may be full of noise, but the world within us still seeks peace.

Let us return to that inner world — one thought at a time.

---

🌞 Conclusion: Let’s Think Again

Social media is not evil. It’s a tool — but we’ve forgotten we are the users.
When the tool starts using us, thinking disappears.

Let’s reclaim our lost habit of reflection.
Let’s pause, breathe, and think — before we scroll again.

✨ Because in a noisy world, a thinking mind is a rare and powerful gift.

The Beautiful Art of Doing Nothing: Why It's Essential in Today's Fast Life

'The art of doing nothing-a simple pause that brings deep joy." The Beautiful Art of Doing Nothing: Why It’s Essential in Today’s Fast Life In today’s world, we are all in a hurry. From the moment we wake up ⏰, our mind is already racing — thinking about tasks, deadlines, bills, and future plans. We live in a world that praises productivity, but rarely talks about the importance of slowing down . But why? Doing nothing is not laziness – it is a way of giving our mind the freedom to rest. Just as our body needs sleep, our soul needs silence. 🌸 --- 🧘 What Does “Doing Nothing” Really Mean? “Doing nothing...
